I feel like he's very non-confrontational as a person, though, fs. Like, if he's put in a position where his well-being/life is/may be on the line (😃...), then yeah, he'll do his best to stick up for himself. But otherwise, his main, favorite, and works-90%-of-the-time tactic is to just avoid conflict and places where it might occur altogether.

Also, I definitely think he's autistic. Like, no way he's not. Hyperfix? Space, obviously. Especially rockets, and then the science behind space/the things in space. I don't see him as a fan of loud noises, either (especially when we consider his upbringing). He also seems to not have the best handle on social cues/is awkward (but I guess that can also be perceived as a neurotypical trait, too, so idk). I also feel like he's defo a stickler for texture. Won't eat certain foods or wear certain fabrics,,, needs things to be a specific type of feeling/way for him to operate as usual, you feel me?

Having complete (emotional?) shutdowns when he's not in a positive mood and/or environment, only really having a logical way of thinking until the tasks/emotions run a bit too high and then he breaks down... I could go on, this really all seems like solid evidence to me, ngl🤷🏽‍♀️.

I might've brought this up before in another post, but I definitely think Finney would take/find interest in astrology. Maybe not actually believe in it or take it as seriously as the next person, but he'd definitely respects it because, while he's more of an astronomy guy, focusing on the logical aspects of space and stars and shit, astrology delves into a more spiritual and belief-based aspect, and he likes the thought of the stars that he loves having meanings and things that correspond to, not only your life, but to who you may be as a person.

Kind of like a little bit of insight, a look-see, on who someone is. So, with that, he definitely knows his own star sign and is happy to answer when asked.

Anyways, cat person to the third degree max. Only likes small dogs, and anything bigger than like,,, those little, fluffy ass dogs, he starts tweakin' real bad🥴💀. I don't blame him fr, though. Dogs are loud "BARK BARK🗣‼️" all in yo face, lick-lick, hyperactive, unpredictable... I could not deal, and neither could he.

No way Finney isn't itching by the door for Billy to come by so he can be updated on the latest things added in the paper. Or, if his dad gets to it first, he's reminding him not to throw it out until he gets back home from school so he can still sort through it for what he wants.

Speaking of Gwen, I do fully believe that Finney was the one braiding her hair every morning before school. I feel like Gwen is a very ambitious person. Doesn't take no shit, which can make her stubborn at times, but at the end of the day, she always finds what she's looking for and/or gets the answers she needs. Ambitious and persistent.

Definitely a go-getter type, which was why she even took the time to read up more on her little ability, what it means, etcetc. Miss girl wanted answers, she was going to find 'em🤷🏽‍♀️.

I feel like he's the type to think/say none of that "astrology shit" matters, but then know his whole entire chart, top to bottom, and only wants to know/cares about the charts of people close to him. And I bet you he only did it because Finney brought it up once, and he wanted to know what the hell he was talking about💀.

He's kind of a show-off, if anything😭. Just a little bit, nothing crazy, but he does get a kick out of "proving a point" beating the breaks off of someone "for the crowd". Or just anything he's skilled at; he might not actively seek the attention, but god, he hopes someone is watching, 'causeeeeee😗😙.

He was definitely taught to fight from his father, but continued to go to boxing classes after he went off to war and never came home. Robin would go wherever he could find them/they were offered (bonus points if they're free), spending a lot of time brushing up on technique, form, whatever. Even takes the time to actually read up on more, study it; does better with visual stuff, though, like pictures or videos or someone showing/guiding him, things like that.

He has a whole bandana collection that he's super proud of and kind of just started, but that green one is signature. Robin was often given cooking lessons from his mom, and he found he likes to bake, too, but can't bake for shit. A horror movie nut from day one. Definitely something that startled/disturbed his mother for a little while, but she got over it💀✋🏽.

He's not in it for the scares or anything, but for the production (although he loves and cherishes the semi-rare times where he actually jumps). I wouldn't put a label on Robin, and neither would he himself, to be honest. Like, even "unlabeled" is a label to him. He truly has the "If they're hot, they're hot🤷🏽" mindset and pretty much has his whole life.

Doesn't even really see the need for labels at all, but if you tried to get him going on that, he'd be more than likely to wave it off so he didn't have to go through the trouble of being misunderstood when trying to explain.

Couldn't bring himself to cut his hair, though, he's too attached😭. That's absolutely staying, or at least getting braided up or something.

Actually, he was straightening/perming his hair a lot of the time, mostly when he was coming up, but eventually stopped and let it grow its naturally wavy pattern. He would cut off the dead hair as it grew more and healthier (never fully chopped/buzzed it off, though, bc again,,, he couldn't bare to lose the length), and he eventually learned to take proper care of it.

It didn't matter where he went/was/moved, though, because it was a dysfunctional home life regardless. Mom and dad always fighting, no real stable income (one of those things where it was like,,, sometimes they came off as well-off and be spoiled, and sometimes, they were going to an off-brand thrift shop for cheap clothes and other necessities), things like that.

So when his dad left, it definitely left a mark on everyone in the house. Bittersweet type of thing because while yes, he was a dickwad, he was still their dad and he cared for them in his own, fucked up way (part of why Vance is so angy😞).

Vance is a middle child who has all sisters (five, to be exact. Another thing he uses to distract/sooth himself is music. Not a full music geek or anything, but LOVVVESSS rock/metal music (if you couldn't already tell given his style). Kiss, Metallica, all of that shit. Was dreaming for the day he either got an electric guitar as a Christmas or birthday gift or for when he could save up for his own.

And, because he wanted to further mimic all the cool rockstars he was seeing coming up, he tried a cigarette ONCE, and he ended up hating that shit💀. He fr wanted to see the appeal so bad, too, but he just can't, and side-eyes people whenever he sees them smoke, now.

Like Robin, when Vance got snatched, he fucked with and was doing his best to beat the breaks off The Grabber until the bitter end. He had a better advantage, too, because he's much bigger, so he definitely got good licks in - which led to The Grabber starving him so that he was too weak to fight back so yes, he took his time with Vance, made his death hurt, which just kinda left Vance feeling pissed off and hopeless until he died.

He definitely would've learned to calm down a bit; some time and talks with his mother and sisters, some warning calls from Uncle Jim, the threat of actual prison and not just "juvie for a couple of days" eventually set him straight. Still quick to anger, but he doesn't practically kill people anymore😃👍🏽. Don't ... Don't fuck with his pinball machine, though, that's still a very active warning/threat on his behalf.

He also gained a sense of moral justice, so even if he did decide to go apeshit (y'know, for old times sake), it'd be for a valid reason, ngl.

That lady from the Grab'n'Go store fs gave him that pinball machine at one point (replaced it with a lamer game or something, like Pac-Man or whatever). When she straight up realized Vance wasn't going to let anyone else touch that shit, let alone beat his high score, which meant she wasn't getting any business with it, she basically just-

"Ykw, just take it😐". ... "...What :0??"

He was clueless as hell, too, genuinely had NO IDEA why she would give him the ENTIRE MACHINE TO KEEP FOR FREEEEE, but was VERY grateful. His mom even tried to get him to give it back, but that woman insisted😭. "I don't know what you think I'm supposed to do with it if you won't let anyone else touch it, Vance. Just keep it and stop wrecking my store."

He didn't at first, has no clue when or how it happened, but very suddenly and intensely grew a guilty-pleasure liking for superheroes. Really likes The Hulk and X-Men comics and has stacks of them he's both bought and stolen collecting in his room.

Sometimes, he rips them up and makes posters out of them, like,,, rips out certain characters or speech bubbles he likes or whole pages and then plasters them around his room.

Relating to superheroes, kind of... You wouldn't think it, but he's got that Spider-Man mentality where it's like,,, he's always looking out for the little guy. When his sense of moral kicked in, he wasn't just fighting for no reason anymore. Now he was fighting if he saw some fuckers talking mad shit or doing something he knew was wrong on their part, so he'd set 'em straight. Would make sure people he didn't have problems with weren't getting picked on.

Also has a high respect for Robin because he essentially does the same shit, and because while Vance has the size advantages, Robin has the skill advantages that he doesn't. The feeling is mutual, too.

Is very confused and awkward when he is told/finds out girls have crushes on him. Very much like🧍🏼‍♂️.

Not opposed, just... bro don't know what to do with that info, and he sure as hell aint making the first move💀✋🏽.

He's more of a close bond, has to have already been best friends first, and then develop feelings along the way, typa guy. Likes real and close connections that actually have a chance at lasting (especially considering his childhood consisted of a lot of moving around, never really getting to keep friends, etcetc).

He's lowkey kinda spoiled, too, for the listed reasons above lmao. Not in a bad way, but sometimes he says or does things that are a little tone deaf and you're just like "😃..." But I mean, if you communicate well enough, he's more inclined to understand.

Billy was doing the paper boy gig to save up for a car. A specific one, too (defo a car guy, I feel like).

I couldn't give details, but I just feel it in my nuggets, he was saving up for a specific car and my boy was DETERMINED, too. Bro was DEDICATED to getting this fucking car. Everyone around him knew it, like he made it very clear his only goal in life at the moment was to get that car lmfao.

I feel like he's a very detail-oriented person, but in the way where it's like,,, Very adhd-coded. Won't clean his room because "It's an oragnized mess, don't touch anything, I know exactly where everything is" type beat. Or like, whenever he has multiple tasks to complete, he'll do that thing where he'll stand somewhere and just start glitching lmfao like when you give a sim too many tasks at once.

He also really likes making lists. But then all of his lists get jumbled up, so he's gotta find the right list for the right stuff LMFAO it's silly, he's silly.

I also think he's a good writer and takes interest in books and poetry. Wouldn't write poetry, but would read it a lot. But definitely has half-assed, pending ideas for his own original stories/books.

And comics, too, he really likes graphic novels, things that have both descriptions and pictures that correspond with one another.

Like Vance, he also really likes superheroes, but unlike him, he's always been into comics and stuff since he was little, so the interest didn't just pop out of nowhere. Not really a Marvel guy. He leans more towards DC, so his favorites are Aquaman and Superman.

He also loves cartoons. Like, to an unhealthy amount. There he is every morning, sat right in front of the TV, no matter how many times his parents have told him to back tf up before he ruins his eyes, with a piping hot cup of coffee, glued to the screen running all of his favorite cartoons lmao. I don't think he'd ever grow out of it, either. He'd be in his 40s-50s, totally adapted to the newer cartoons like The Amazing World Of Gumball or whatever lmao.

Billy's a Sagittarius (birthday - December 12th), but I think he also has come Capricorn, Libra, and/or Cancer in his chart. He just seems like a very chill, curious, and understanding person, which can either make people really like him at first or misjudge him (maybe even dislike) him. But at the end of the day, he's very secure in himself and who he is. He knows what he's got going on. And like I said, he loves to learn further and understand, so it's not like he's ever going to purposefully cause problems or anything.

If at all, I think he's also a non-confrontational person, much like Finney. He stays in his own lane, does his very best to avoid conflict, and while sure, he's got a lot of scattered friends from different areas and walks of life and whatever, it's that way for a reason😭. He's just a good dude fr!

He's also more outspoken than you would think at first. Can definitely hold and even start a friendly conversation, and honestly... TAKE HIM TO YOUR PARENTS👹👏🏽‼️. Adults love him, he's very polite and courteous, and they find him funny because he can for SURE crack a well-timed joke.

Just overall being super obnoxious about it ngl lmfao💀😭 (but he deserves to be, he worked so hard for it and everybody understood that, so it's fine). Got a better job after the fact, too, now that he could actually take himself to and from.

I know I mentioned him drinking coffee earlier, but to expand on that a little more, he was basically always drinking coffee and energy drinks to stay awake and (barely🥴) coherent when he was doing his paper boy job and school at the same time, so he now unfortunately has a caffeine addiction that he cannot shake for the life of him. He's tried so many things, he just can't let go😭. He likes it really sweet, too (he has a sweet tooth).

He'll add a lot of creamer, flavored syrup, sugar... whatever he can find to kind of just dilute the bitter taste entirely, he's throwing it in the mug. Also part of the reason why he's more fond of soda/energy drinks, because at least he doesn't have to deal with that nasty taste coffee has (I'm a coffee hater, hop off😒✋🏽).

Also like I mentioned earlier, he'd still have this weird yet cute thing with cartoons. Like, yeah, he'd enjoy a good movie (indie, coming of age type stuff), but cartoons just really do it for him. Sitting at the kitchen table with his second bowl of fruit loops laughing at Tom and Jerry is his therapy, truly♡.

While he can be out of touch, he's very open and easy to gain understanding from, loves to learn (especially since he's a writer). Just an all-around stand-up guy fr, you can not go wrong with Billy Showalter.

He could be stripped of everything he knows and loves, and Billy would STILL make sure Harper was okay first before all. She's such a good dog, too. She's very polite and sweet, and it doesn't take much to get her going. Like I said, very hyperactive, so pretty much all you have to do is say a favorite word ("outside" "ball" "play" "treat" "good girl" "go get..." etcetc) in a certain, happy tone, and now she's all riled up.

So yeah, if he's says "I dunno" or "Prolly" just give him a second or two afterwards, because it's not that he's actually forgotten or doesn't know, he's just stalling while his brain lags lmao (he might even be sassing you a little🤭).

I feel like he'd be the type to have explored so many different interests, niches, and just really overall loves to learn. Wouldn't be able to stick to anything, but it definitely keeps him busy. Good at everything kinda guy; you could ask him about/to do anything, and he'd genuinely have surface level knowledge on it.

Human Google. If you wanted help with your homework, project, or just simple research, he'd be the best guide. And he'd open up a little, too, while doing it because not only does he enjoy learning, but he'd love even more for a chance to yap about what it is he knows/has learned without somebody falling asleep on him mid-sentence😃.

Sooo I recently read this series of comics called Star Trek: Year Five, published in 2019-2021 by IDW Publishing; I heard it was good, but I didn't expect it to be that good!

If you haven't read it, I suggest to check it out! (it's also not hard to find it if you get what I mean)

The art overall is great and, more importantly, the characters act like themselves and there are several references to their canon backgrounds, past and future experiences! What I absolutely loved was also seeing a lot of "old faces" from TOS show, as well as mentions of events from the series and the movies.

As the title suggests, the story takes place during the last year of Kirk's five-year mission on the Enterprise. I'd like to tell you more, but I enjoyed the surprise of a lot of things I didn't expect, so first of all I'll post a few pics without major spoilers from the first 11 issues (there are 25, so you still have a lot to discover!):

I especially love how Bones and Sulu are drawn, they really look like them! Scotty and Uhura too, but that depends on the artist. Speaking of them, if you like a little Scotty/Uhura, this series has something good about it!

The joke about Kirk thinking there's something strange with the way the Klingons look now cracked me up. LOL

Also, I'm not sure Chapel would call McCoy "Bones", but she is very right in that panel. :)

The last panel is classical James T. Kirk's ass appreciation lol

Sulu has a love story with an alien who doesn't understand human genders and uses they/them pronouns. As someone who headcanons TOS Sulu as attracted to any gender, that was great to see :D

I'm also posting this "end-of-the-episode" panel because it's just perfection. TOS in a nutshell. Aww, look at Kirk and Spock just looking at each other! <3

I must say, you may be a little disappointed if you expect to see many moments with Kirk and Spock together, BUT the scenes they have together are really good! I won't say anything more, just read until the end and you'll see! :D

By the way, this series has a Valentine's Day extra, which is the only part where Kirk has a love interest (a female original character). Yeah, you heard me: in the main story, Kirk doesn't have new romances with anyone; Sulu is the one who gets all the action! ;)

The Valentine's Day issue is not linked to anything else and I don't think Kirk's female love interest is mentioned outside that story, so you can easily skip it if it's not for you. However, even if I can't say I'm especially happy with that story, I personally found something interesting there, for example this:

I think I saw this out of context once, but I didn't know where it was from, so sorry I'm just going to lose my mind thinking about ladies or GENTLEMEN in Kirk's life and Kirk not correcting her about his sexual preferences. Anyway, I might make a separate post someday about this special from a Kirk/Spock shipper's perspective, because I do have a lot of thoughts about it :)

So, if you haven't read Star Trek: Year Five, I hope I convinced you to check it out! I hadn't been lucky with other Star Trek comics before, so I had almost lost hope to find something good… and then here it was! Something that made me feel like it was really written with a lot of love for The Original Series! I really needed it!

ACOTAR's Rant That's Been Long Overdue!!!! BEWARE AND MY BAD, ITS A LONG ONE.

I won't lie it's been a long while since I've read the books and I still haven't read ACOSF yet (or if I even will?!) But over the years I've changed my opinion on alot of things concerning the books and fan pairings, etc. And lately I've had the urge to re look over ACOTAR content on tumblr and I finally decided to make this post. One I've been meaning to for awhile!

I want to start out by saying that I absolutely loved "A Court of Thorns and Roses" and Feylin, I finished that book in one night. I couldn't wait to read more of their story and learn more of this world SJM had created. Went into the series before it exploded on Tik - Tok or wherever so I went in without spoilers. Like I said I was looking forward to reading more but I also simultaneously had a sneaking suspicion that SJM was gonna try to give Feyre a new love interest and it did not sit well with me at all!! I kept saying or thinking things like "she better not give Feyre a new love interest" "she better not mess up Feylin", and that's exactly what she did!!

She "villainzed" or tried to anyways, Tamlin. I'm not gonna lie I got really irritated, and even though it wasn't Tam's fault how things played out I was kind of upset with him. I never hated him though and even though I hated the idea of a new love interest - with time I grew to greatly enjoy them. I read all of the books and considered them to be some of my favorite books, I even shipped Elriel hardcore while also shipping Elucien and also lowkey Nessian (before ACOSF). With time I fell into the delusion of Elriel, Nessian, Feysand and The Inner Circle, of the series in general. By the end of ACOWAR though even though I liked Feysand - I was getting kind of tired of reading about them and was looking forward to and wanting a different pairing to take center stage.

Subconsciously at times I think I did realize how toxic and awful Feysand and parts of the Inner Circle was etc, but it didn't register til later on. It's like I glossed over it cause I was sooo "entralled" with the series and character's. I was delulu about alot of things, about my liking for Feysand, my hardcore fangirling over Elriel, etc.

I was the biggest shipper of Elriel, I wanted them together so bad and the idea of them not getting together - I thought it would depress me out. Insane ik. Like before I became a hardcore Elriel shipper I shipped Elucien and was liking and hoping for their endgame until we started getting more Elriel content. Then my love for Elriel overshadowed that of Elucien. I was obsessing about anything relating to Elriel and couldn't wait for any possible clues or interactions in ACOSF pertaining to an Elriel endgame. There was even gonna be a pov from Azriel (he was my favorite batboy) and I was really excited. Then ACOSF came out and so did the spoilers. I hadn't gotten my hands on a book yet but the curiosity was too strong, so I went on tumblr to see what had been posted, etc.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . To say I was shocked was an understatement. It was the fastest death of a love pertaining to a fan pairing and character. I'm a fangirl, fangirling is what I do. I get overenthusiastic about tv shows and movies and bonds between characters. I was so disgusted by Azriel's pov, it was very unexpected. Like yes I imagine there would be some lustful thoughts or whatever but this is the first time we are getting his pov and you give us that! I had a certain idea of how I thought of Elain and Azriel and I loved it and the symbolism etc but what I read or found out totally ruined the idea I had of them. How I thought of them. Even the idea of liking them. Now I sincerely hope they don't end up together and she hopefully gets with Lucien and gets out of the Night court and away from the Inner Circle and Feysand. I've grown to ship and love Elucien the way I did Elriel before Az's pov.

I even really like and love the idea of Tamlin and Elain or Elain x Lucien x Elain. I feel like even though ACOTAR was supposedly a Beauty and The Beast retelling, Elain seems more like Belle to me, in look wise and gentleness anyways. And she would be so good with Tamlin and his healing even though I'm also a hardcore Elucien girly. I'd be so happy with either Elucien, Tamlain or Elucien x Tamlain x Tamlucien (whatever their ship name is!?)

In terms of Nessian. I always liked Nessian, I wasn't super hardcore about them like I was Elriel, Elucien, Feylin but I still really liked them or saw their potential too. But then I started hearing about things pertaining to Nessian and Nesta's character in ACOSF and I even heard things such as them ruining Nesta's character and bowing to Rhys, etc. Like maybe they ruined her character for the sake of Feysand or something?! And even though I already dislike what I'm hearing about Nessian, I still plan to read ACOSF even though it's gonna be a struggle re reading the series with how much I've grown to dislike Feysand, Rhysand, The Inner Circle, Elriel, etc. I almost don't want to re read the series with how annoyed I've grown about them, may take me some time but I will at some point in time. I'm in no rush though but I would be looking forward to re read ACOTAR.

Cassian is a shitty mate from what I've been hearing and that makes me start to dislike him too. Even though I have yet to completely make up my mind about Nessian til after I read ACOSF, Cassian is on thin ice. Not gonna lie though I kind of wish and hope Nessian aren't endgame because of what I've heard, even though I have yet to read ACOSF. I feel like Nesta deserves better and it might be an unpopular opinion but I think Nesta and Tamlin would be an absolutely freaking perfect endgame or pairing!!!!!!!??

Nesta and Tamlin both were given the same completely unfair, ridiculous, disgusting hate or treatment by the author and fandom. They both need healing, and could be the people who heal each other?! Even though Elain gives Belle vibes from her looks and gentleness, she doesn't have the most important Belle factor that Nesta does. NESTA LOVES BOOKS!! Could Nesta be the actual Belle to Tamlin's or ACOTAR Beauty and the Beast Retelling??!!!! Idk but I think Nesta and Tam would be way better than Cassian and Nesta.

I feel like the author has made her batboys too hornified and has sexualized her romantic pairings to the point she's ruining them!! Smut is fine in a book but when it's overdone and it's all a relationship is, it's not a pairing worth rooting for and it's kind of disgusting. I'd rather have a slow burn, cliche, romantic couple or pairing with few smutty scenes than a pairing that's too over sexualized and has multiple, constant, sex scenes. Other possible unpopular opinions:

- Tamlin is 100% more likable and better than Rhysand. Tamlin isn't without his flaws but the double standardization between Tamlin and Rhysand is incredibly unfair and unwarranted. Tamlin gets way too much hate for a character in a series filled with many other/worse flawed characters.

- Tamlin doesn't need a redemption arc, he needs a healing arc. He deserves a happy ending and love too!! I hope his court is replenished and flourishes.

- SJM character assassinated Feyre and others for the sake of Feysand, Rhysand and The Inner Circle.

- The ACOTAR series is filled with inconsistencies, double standards, etc.

- ACOTAR was the best book!!

- The Inner Circle, Batboys, Rhysand, and Feysand is highly overrated.

- Feyre deserves better.

- SJM should backpeddle on the smut and focus on building up of relationships and focusing on the romance. Stop using smut as an excuse for plot!

- Elain, Lucien, and Nesta need to get out of the Night Court and away from the Inner Circle and Feysand. (Feyre should too but that definitely won't happen!) They need their own story plots with story progression that doesn't involve the Night Court, Feysand, and The Inner Circle.

- Nesta and Tamlin should be endgame or an option at the very least. THE POTENTIAL!!!!! 😭❤️✊

- Rhysand is the villain of the series. It would be the greatest twist but also wouldn't be a twist because there's heavy evidence of him being a villian and manipulating those around him.

- Theory that Rhysand has been mind controlling Feyre the whole time!!

- There should be more focus on the other lands and courts.

- An Elucien novel should have nothing to do with the Night Court or Inner Circle or Feysand. I'm so tried of other ships and character's revolving heavily around Feysand, the Inner Circle, and the Night Court. Not everything is about them!!

001. pumped up kicks - foster the people

‘But he’s coming for you, yeah, he’s coming for you.’

“Oh shit, yes! Yes!-”

“Tara-” You groaned, looking up at the ceiling.

“I know.” Tara huffed, getting up from her spot on the bed.

She made her way to the door, slamming it open before shouting at her roommate, Quinn. A ‘sorry’ got sent back along with a ‘we’ll be quiet’ causing the two of you to voluntary eye roll, knowing that wasn’t true.

“You’re going to get so many noise complaints one day.” You chuckled, sitting up as you looked over at Tara, shutting the door behind her.

“Don’t.” Tara said, pointing a finger at you in an accusing way which made you laugh.

“At least she’s getting some.” You muttered, sending a condescending smirk to your best friend.

“Oh, I'm sorry you have such a high sex drive.” Tara replied sarcastically, sitting beside you.

“Only when you’re near.” You rebutted, causing Tara to grimace.

“Shut up.” Tara said, bumping her shoulder into yours, hands covering her face.

“I’m joking, I’m joking.” You laughed, holding your hands up in mock surrender.

“I don't know how I put up with you.” Tara mumbled, getting up from her position, opening up her wardrobe where her halloween costume was.

“You love me.” You said, dragging out the ‘o’ in love, a smile displayed on your face.

“I tolerate you.” Tara said, looking over her shoulder.

“I'll take that.” You shrugged, getting up as well and making your way next to Tara, taking your own halloween costume in hand.

“Chad and Mindy will be here soon so hurry up and get ready.” Tara said, beginning to take off her top.

“Jesus, a warning next time.” You exclaimed, slapping your hand over your eyes.

“We’ve known each other for years, stop being an idiot and get changed.” Tara sighed, shaking her head at your antics as she let a small smile grace her features.

“Yes boss.” You mumbled, sending a salute her way before getting into your costume.

The two of you were quick to get ready and before you knew it the doorbell rang. Chad and Mindy stood at the door, grins plastered on their faces as they hurried the two of you outside.

Tara told Quinn she would be back later and her response was ‘yes’ but you all quickly interpreted it as a moan. Rushing out of Tara's apartment, the four of you made your way onto the streets of New York.

As each of you continued your walk to the frat party, you were stopped by Jason wanting to talk to Tara.

You didn’t pay attention to their conversation, wanting to get some alcohol in your system as fast as possible. Tara bid her goodbyes, joining back up with you, continuing on the way to the party.

As soon as you stepped through the door to the party the smell of cheap booze and sweat overrides your senses. Making a beeline for the drinks table, you poured yourself a random concoction which was mostly alcohol.

After you were happy with your drink you mingled with a few other people. Chad went off and met up with Ethan and Mindy went off to see her girlfriend, Anika.

Not realising it, but you had left Tara when all she wanted was to be by your side. The younger Carpenter didn’t really enjoy larger crowds since the incident last year, always preferring to have you by her side.

Shoving and pushing through a mass amount of people, Tara made it to the drinks table, where you once were. She had a couple drinks herself, before going off to talk to some other people.

After having enough social interaction, deciding she needed more alcohol, Tara walked back over to the drinks table once again.

You had your eye on her the whole night, making sure she did nothing that she would regret in the morning and you soon realised that she was approached by someone, immediately recognising who the person was.

His name was Frankie and he had quite the reputation of being a fuckboy, never treating a woman respectfully and only wanting them for a good time.

Not liking the idea of where their conversation could go, you left the people you were with and made your way to her.

Drink still in hand, you watched as Frankie dragged Tara through the house. Anika tried to talk to Tara but she shrugged her off, continuing to follow Frankie, hand in hand as they walked towards the stairs.

Jaw clenching in anger, you pushed through more people making your way to Mindy and Anika.

“What the hell is Tara doing?” You asked, steam practically coming out of your ears as you gripped onto the red cup in your hand.

“By the looks of it, going to hook up with that guy.” Mindy said, an unpleasant look on her face.

“Fuck!” You exclaimed, clenching your jaw, you quickly followed after Tara, placing your drink down on the way.

The two of them watched as you stormed away from them in hopes of catching up to Tara, knowing that they may need to get Chad.

They searched the house for Chad and they finally found him standing with Ethan. Anika quickly told him that he was needed and the three of them followed Mindy who was making her way after you.

“Hey dude!” You shouted, watching as Frankie and Tara stopped on the stairs, turning to face you. “How about you leave her alone, huh?”

“Sorry, I don't think I heard you clearly.” Frankie replied, a small smirk on his face.

“Tara’s good down here, don't you think?” You said, a little louder knowing he heard you perfectly fine the first time, nodding your head to the younger Carpenter.

“Hey, no, y/n, it's fine, I want to.” Tara said, stumbling down the stairs towards you.

She stood in front of you, swaying from side to side as she placed her hands on your shoulders. You shook your head, moving your eyes away from Tara for a split second and onto Frankie, which involuntarily made you clench your jaw.

“See, y/n, she wants to.” Frankie said in a mocking tone before turning back up the stairs where he took a hold of Tara’s arm and made her trip.

“How about you get your fucking hands off her.” You said through gritted teeth, pulling the boy away from Tara and down the stairs.

Frankie tumbled into the wall opposite the stairs but he quickly recovered and made his way towards you. Just as he was about to push you back, Chad stood in front of you and shoved Frankie.

Tara pulled you back towards her where she rested against your arm, desperately trying to get the boys to stop pushing and shoving each other.

“Guys, yeah hi, sorry to interrupt,” Sam said pulling Chad and Frankie apart before turning to Frankie, “I'm just gonna tase you in the balls real quick.”

Sam pulled out her taser and within a millisecond Frankie had doubled over and was writhing on the floor in pain.

“Don't ever lay hands on my sister.” Sam threatened, looking down at Frankie.

“You fucking bitch!” He spat out, clutching where Sam had just tased him.

Tara stumbled out of your arms and took a few steps in front of you. She swayed a little so you placed your hands on her waist, making sure that she wouldn't fall over.

“Sam, are you fucking kidding me?” Tara shouted, laying one of her hands over yours, steadying herself. “You’re stalking me now?”

Tara looked at her sister, letting out a scoff before making her way out of the house. She gripped your hand harder as she pulled you outside along with her.

The younger Carpenter rushed down the street, you following in tow, trying to keep up with her. For someone so short you were surprised how fast she could walk.

At multiple points along the way, you had tried to get her to stop and calm down but it was no use. That was until you jogged a little closer to her, taking her hand in yours and pulling her around so she was facing you.

You held both her hands in yours, resting them on her chest as it heaved up and down. Your bodies were close, almost touching.

Looking into her eyes you watched as hers darted everywhere else other than your face, her lips were slightly parted, breath fanning over you as she tried to calm herself down.

“Hey,” you said softly, “look at me.”

“Why would she- I can't-” Tara rambled breathlessly.

“Calm down.” You smiled, pulling her into you.

She wrapped her hands around your waist and buried her head in your chest. You held her tight against you, feeling as she slowly decreased her breathing, back to its normal state.

You parted slightly, holding her shoulders, watching as a few tears fell from her eyes. You raised a hand and your thumb gently swiped them away. For a moment it seemed as if it was only the two of you and nobody else. But that moment was ruined when you heard Sam call after Tara.

“Tara!” Sam shouted, walking up to you both as Chad, Mindy, Ethan and Anika followed behind her.

“I can not believe you did that, you embarrassed me.” Tara shouted, moving away from your grasp.

“That guy was a dick, he was going to take advantage of you.” Sam said, pointing back behind her, gesturing to Frankie.

“So?” Tara snapped.

“So?” Sam repeated, shock evident on her face.

“If I want to hook up with an asshole, that's my decision.” Tara exclaimed, pointing to herself. “It's my decision.”

“Okay.” Sam sighed, trying not to roll her eyes.

“It's not about you, I mean- you're out of my life for five years and now you can't leave me alone for five minutes.”

“Because you are not dealing with what happened to us.” Sam remarked. “Have you even gone to see the counsellor? Once?”

“No, I'm not going to.”

“Why not?”

“Because I'm uninterested in living in the past like you are.”

“What's that supposed to mean?”

“Okay, Tara-” You tried, reaching for her but she just pushed you away.

“It means I'm not gonna let what happened to us for three days define the way I live the rest of my life.” Tara exclaimed, continuing the argument with her sister.

“So you're just gonna pretend it never happened?”

“What are you doing here, Sam?” Tara asked after a deep breath. “In New york? I mean you're working two shitty jobs and you help out or whatever but what's your plan?”

“I-” Sam stuttered, trying to think of something to say.

“I know what I am going to do, okay cause I'm gonna keep going to college and I'm gonna get my degree and I'm going to live my life.” Tara said, pointing to herself again. “My life!”

“Tara come on-” You tried again.

“Y/n, God! Shut up! You’re just like Sam! You both follow me and wont let me out of your sight.”

“Wha-? Hey, we’re just trying to look out for you.” You said, shocked that she snapped at you.

“I- I know, I know you both are but Sam, you can't do it for the rest of my life though. You have to let me go.”

“Hey!” Some random woman shouted, coming over to you all before she threw her drink over Sam. “Murderer!”

“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Sam questioned, pushing the girl into her friends causing you and Chad to quickly hold the older Carpenter back.

“Bitch.” The woman uttered, standing back on her feet.

“You got a problem with me?” Sam exclaimed, raising her arms in question.

“You guys should stay away from her, she knows what she did.” The woman said, pointing at Sam before walking away with her friends.

“I didn’t fucking do anything!” Sam shouted, trying to wring her shirt out.

“Okay, walk away Sam, walk away.” You said, gently pushing her away from the woman.

“I’m fine, y/n.” Sam sighed, looking up from her shirt and at Tara walking away from her again. “Go after Tara, before she breaks something in the apartment.”

“She didn’t mean anything she said, you know.” You smiled, trying to reassure her.

“Go.” Sam said, sending a small smile back and you gave her a nod before doing as told.

Once you finally made it back the door to Tara’s apartment was shut so you spent at least five minutes knocking on the door before someone heard and opened the door for you.

“Hey, where’s Tara?” You said just as Quinn opened the door.

“Oh! Uh- I think she wants to be left alone for a little while.” Quinn replied.

“Is she in her room?” You questioned, walking past her.

“Yeah but- y/n!” Quinn said trying to catch up to you before you got to Tara’s room but she was too late.

You opened Tara’s bedroom door and you were met with Chad and Tara leaning in for a kiss.

“Woah! Sorry!” You said, surprised, eyebrows raising in shock.

“Quinn!” Tara exclaimed, looking at the woman who was peaking over your shoulder.

“I’m sorry! I tried to keep them away!”

“You knew?” You asked incredulously, turning around to face Quinn who sent you a sheepish smile.

“Sorry.” Quinn winced.

“Unbelievable.” You muttered.

“What do you want, y/n?” Tara wondered, making you turn back to her.

“Oh uh- nothing.” You said, sending her a small smile as you rubbed the back of your neck. “I’ll leave you two to it.”

You backed out of her room, closing the door behind you but before it shut properly you heard Tara call out your name.

“Yeah?” You hummed, poking your head back in her room.

“Chad, could you give us a minute?” Tara questioned, turning to look at the boy beside her.

He gave her a nod with a small smile and left the room with Quinn, shutting the door behind him, leaving you and Tara together.

You stayed standing by the door, not really knowing what to do with yourself. You looked around Tara’s room but never looked at her.

Tara sighed and patted the space beside her on the bed, you obliged and sat down. Not knowing what to do you stayed quiet, playing with your fingers in your lap.

Tara instantly felt guilt creep up her, knowing that she was the reason for the tension between the two of you. She gingerly reached out her hand to touch yours but pulled back just before they could touch.

“I’m sorry.” Tara said quietly, it almost came out as a whisper. “I didn't mean to snap at you.”

“It's okay.” You smiled. “You were angry at Sam and I got in the middle of it.”

“Still-”

“It doesn't matter, it's all water under the bridge.”

“I may have told Sam to back away but I don't want you to.” Tara said, turning to face you.

“I’m not going anywhere.” You replied, taking Tara’s hand in yours. “You’re stuck with me.”

“Thank you, for not letting me go up those stairs.” Tara said quietly, resting her head on your shoulder.

“It’s no problem.” You smiled. “I doubt he’s very good in bed anyway.”

“True.” Tara snickered, thankful the two of you were back to normal.

“So you and Chad, huh?” You teased, knocking your elbow against Tara's side, causing her to remove her head from your shoulder.

“Oh, no, I don't like him like that.” Tara chuckled, causing you to cock your head to the side in confusion.

“But you were going to kiss?”

“No, he was just trying to get something out of my eye.”

Hearing Tara say that you felt the little green eyed monster crawl back to its hiding place and you let out a small sigh in relief.

You’d never tell Tara what you were feeling right now, especially since you’ve been friends since you were little. It wasn’t until after the events in Woodsboro where you started to develop feelings for her. Feelings that went a little more than friendship.

Unbeknownst to you, whilst you were caught up in your own head, in the other room Anika turned up the tv, showing the news.

Quinn ran back into your room and ushered you and Tara into the living room. Confused, you both followed her.

As you walked into the living room, you quickly noticed how everyone’s eyes were on the tv. Showing a man who was talking about how two university students were killed.

Looking to your left you caught Sam’s eye and you knew what was going to happen. You shook your head silently telling her to back down but she didn’t listen to you.

“Pack a bag, we leave in ten.” Sam said, before she walked off to the kitchen.

“Sam! Wait- Sam!” Tara called out as she followed her.

“We’re getting out of the city.”

“Sam! Hold on. Let's talk about this for a second!” Tara said. “Cause this might not have anything to do with us.”

“Are you serious?”

“It's a big city. It's halloween, everybody’s wearing masks.”

“Tara, this isn’t a coincidence.” Sam cut in. “You knew him.”

“Barely.”

“Chad, Mindy, y/n back me up.” Sam said, gesturing to the three of you, but you stayed quiet.

“I mean it is a little bit-” Chad started.

“Close to home.” Mindy finished off.

“See.”

“Quinn, your dads a cop, right?” Tara asked after a beat of silence. “Can you call him and find out what’s going on? Before you make the unilateral decision to abandon my college education and flee the fucking state.”

“I’m calling him now.” Quinn said, dialling her dads number.

“Thank you.” Tara said.

Suddenly Sam’s phone went off on the table causing everyone to turn their heads towards the sound, stopping in their tracks.

“Who is it?” Tara questioned.

“Why did everyone just freak out when her phone rang?” Ethan asked, confused about the whole situation.

“You gotta keep up my dude.” Anika huffed, leaning closer to Mindy.

“Sam, my dad wants to talk to you.” Quinn said, passing her phone over.

“Mr Bailey, hi.” Sam said, pressing the phone to her ear.

“Hey, Sam. I was actually just about to call you.”

“My sister thinks I am properly overreacting.” Sam said, causing Tara to roll her eyes.

“Unfortunately you're not.”

“What do you mean? What's going on?” Sam questioned, eyes darting at everyone in the room.

“I'm afraid I need you to come down to the station.”

“I'll be there in a sec.” Sam replied before hanging up the phone and passing it back to Quinn.

“Wait what's going on?” You asked, standing beside Tara.

“I’ll be back soon, I just need to do something.” Sam said, not giving away what she was doing.

“Are you going to tell us anything or..?” You continued, watching as the older carpenter got her keys, phone and put on her coat.

“I won't be long.” Sam smiled before walking out of the apartment.

You huffed, throwing your hands up in the air, not realising that Tara was also putting on her coat.

“Tara, no-” You started, walking towards her, trying to stop her from walking out too.

“Stay here, I'll be fine. Sam will be with me the whole time.” Tara said, placing her hands on your chest and pushing you backwards. “I’ll be fine, trust me.”

“If I don't hear from you-”

“I know, you’ll come and find me.”

“Please be safe.”

“I will, I promise.”

Tara gave you one last smile before she left the apartment too. Due to both Sam and Tara leaving, Mindy, Chad, Anika and Ethan decided to leave too. After everyone had gone it was only you and Quinn in the apartment.

You told her you would wait in Tara’s room till she got back and you got a hum of acknowledgement from Quinn as she rummaged around in the fridge.

Sighing to yourself, you flopped onto Tara’s bed. Staring at the ceiling you tried not to fall asleep and just as you were about to drift off, your phone rang.

Thinking it was Tara, you immediately answered without looking at the caller ID.

“Hello?” You answered.

“Hello, y/n.”

Body tensing, you realised whose voice it was. You pushed yourself to the end of Tara’s bed, eyes scanning around the room for anything suspicious.

“What do you want?” You questioned, hand tightening around your phone.

“Two things actually.”

“Oh yeah, and what’s that?”

“One, for everyone to know your secret-”

“My secret? What the hell do you mean by my secret?”

“And two, I want to see you suffer.” A chuckle passed through the phone.

“Well come and get me asshole! I’m right here.” You said through gritted teeth, raising an arm up beside yourself.

“Hmm, tempting. But I've got my eyes on someone else.”

“Spit it out then motherfucker!”

“Someone you seem quite fond of.”

The line disconnected and you felt your heart rate accelerate, practically beating out your chest. You threw your phone onto Tara’s bed, hands running through your hair.

“Fuck!” You shouted, quickly grabbing your phone, putting on your shoes and running out of the apartment.

Running down the flight of stairs you barged through the doors and onto the streets of New York. Your head snapped from side to side to try and find any sign of Tara.

Suddenly you heard a loud bang, one that sounded a lot like a gunshot. You ran in the direction that it came from and you were met with a corner shop.

Looking through the glass on the door you spotted someone wearing a ghostface costume, holding a shotgun as they looked around the store.

“Tara.” You whispered, watching as the ghostface’s head snapped to something of which you didn’t know.

Using that as an opportunity, you made your way into the store. Realising it may not have been your smartest idea, you quickly hid for cover.

Thinking of a plan in your head, you decided to move fast, hoping to distract the ghostface.

You rounded a shelf into another aisle where you came face to face with ghostface, luckily for you their back was turned and they walked away and into another aisle.

Letting out a quiet sigh of relief, you felt your body get a little lighter until you saw Sam and Tara crawling your way.

They stopped dead in their tracks once they saw you, shock evident on their faces.

“Get ready to run.” You mouthed to them and you put your hand up, stopping their protests. “Trust me.”

They gave you a nod and you made your way towards them, being as quiet as possible. You made sure the Carpenters were behind you when you made a small amount of noise, letting the ghostface know where you were.

Just as they stepped in front of you, in another aisle, you used all of your strength and along with Sam’s help, the two of you had pushed the shelf over and onto the ghostface.

A gunshot rang out and the three of you made your way out of the store. Police cars surrounded you and you felt Tara tug you closer to her so she could rest against your side.

As the three of you looked back at ghostface, they weren't there, only a ghostface mask on the floor with the back door swinging backwards and forwards.

I went to watch The count of Monte Cristo (2024) last night and it was SOOO GOOOD oh my god it's so exciting to have a good big french movie like that again !!! it's been 84 years, I've been waiting !!! what a comeback !!! it looked gorgeous, it was well acted, it had lots of beautiful dark haired men and women (some blond people were there too I guess) and it was a very satisfying revenge story <3

it also really made me want to read Alexandre Dumas' entire bibliography, which I should have done already but better late than never !! also reminder that this gigantic name in french culture happens to be half black so his existence pisses off all the french racists, god bless :^)

btw keeping it vague to avoid spoilers but : at some point there's talks of a lavender wedding to protect a sapphic romance !! instantly made me love the movie more, can't believe they acknowledged wlw in a story like that !!

Me and my family just saw Spy × Family: CODE: White (dubbed version) and...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT...!!! 💗😍💗 And so did my family...!! 😁🎉

But, before I talk about the movie, I wanted to show the card they handed out to the four of us:

It's a cute image of Anya reaching for the (Stella) stars and me, my mom, my brother and my dad each got one...!! 😄 They also had Spy × Family cups and popcorn buckets, but they were already sold out of those by the time we got there...! 😅 Well, at least we got the cards!! 😁

Now... ON TO THE MAIN EVENT!! 😆:

People who are fans of Spy × Family and haven't seen the movie yet, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy × Family The Movie: CODE: White... You have been warned...! 👌

Where do I begin...? There's SO MUCH that I love about this movie that I'd probably just just end up describing THE ENTIRE movie...! 😅 So to avoid doing that, I'm only going to list MY ABSOLUTE MOST FAVORITE parts of the movie!! 😆 HERE I GO!!:

The Ferris wheel scene - OMG! I LOVE THIS SCENE SO MUCH!! 😍 I loved that Anya got Loid and Yor to go on the ferris wheel so that they can talk things out!! 😁 MY TWIYOR HEART WAS GOING CRAZY!!! 💗😍💗 And I also loved that Yor and Anya waved at each other, that was so cute...!! 🤗

Anya, Yor and Bond playing together - THIS WAS SOOO SWEET!! 💗😭💗 I LOVE seeing Yor and Anya spending time together, their relationship is one of my absolute favorites in the entire series and I'm so happy that the movie had this scene in it!! 🤗

Yor Vs. Type-F and Twilight Vs. Snidel - Both of these fights were AMAZING!! 🤩 My favorite parts of both fights were their endings...!! Loid disguising himself as Snidel, getting the upper hand and then defeating Snidel was really cool!! 👏😆 While in Yor's fight, Yor dodging Type-F's attacks, then the reveal that she used THE LIPSTICK THAT LOID GOT HER to draw on and around Type-F to blow him up gave me GOOSEBUMPS! 👏😍

The Forgers spending time together as family - OF COURSE I'D LOVE ALL THE MOMENTS WHEN THE FORGERS ARE DOING STUFF TOGETHER!! 💗😍💗 I nearly cried when Loid met up with Yor, Anya, and Bond at the fountain and went home together near the end of the movie...!!! 💗😭💗 And speaking of the Forgers being together...

The Forgers working together - I FREAKING LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! 😍It's something that I really want to see happen in the series proper, AND THE MOVIE DELIVERED!!! 👏👏👏

There are SO MANY other moments that I LOVED in this movie, but I like I said earlier, I'd talk about the ENTIRE MOVIE at that point...!! 😅 But, there's one last thing that I wanna bring up before I go... There are two times in the movie where Anya reads minds and we DON'T hear their inner thoughts...!! The first time was after the ferris wheel and Anya reads Loid and Yor's minds, and the second time was after Loid and Anya reunite and Anya reads his mind...!! �� It's pretty obvious that whatever Anya heard was good because she smiled after both of those times, but that doesn't mean that I'm not still curious to know what Anya heard in those two moments...!! 🤔😁

Anyway, that's pretty much everything that I wanted say about the movie!! 😊 I would love to see it again in theaters, but I can also wait for the home release as well...!! 😁 Also, NOBODY TALKED DURING THE MOVIE, so the curse of other people being LOUD and ANNOYING during an anime movie that I wanna see seems to be broken...!! 👌😌

Hi! Love everything you do and all your gorgeously crafted fics. If you haven’t already answered, what’s your writing process like? Your last story was so good I actually started jotting down ideas, brainstorming. It’s the closest I’ve gotten to writing in years. The thought of actually doing it though can be daunting. How you process a story idea into and take it from an idea to the great stories we get to read??

Thank you! It may just be the greatest pleasure for a writer to inspire another to write. I am taking your hand - and I hope you feel its warmth just like my gratitude - and pouring all of my inspiration to you 💗 I hope you get sooo inspired to write and share the excitement of getting to create

I feel like I'm going to rant so I'll hide it under the cut. Major spoilers for Yes To Heaven, as I'm gonna give it as an example.

1. I usually just start thinking about one scene or a single concept, maybe a couple, and then think: oh, this could become something tangible. You gotta catch that scene in your head and really taste it, look around the characters (where they are, when, what universe), try to envision it in your head like a movie; look inside the characters, what are they feeling, like, right now, what their thoughts are, what are they saying? At this point, usually the idea starts to grow into my mind so deep that the only way to get rid of it is to write. Otherwise, it would drive me insane.

Example: with Yes To Heaven, it started with one scene where Stiles is surrounded with alphas, and everyone wants him, everyone looks at him and stumbles all over themselves to help him. And Stiles is blushing and beautiful and wondering what's all this for. And Derek in the corner, glaring at everyone and seething.

2. Ok, now it's time for the good old record scratch and the "you're probably wondering how I got here". I sort of step away from the scene: one step into the past and one into the future. I usually get really quickly to the "oh so THIS is the story, okay...". So you got the vague feeling of the plot.

Example: I literally started to think: why would Derek not intervene? Why would the alphas circle around Stiles and want him? What would Derek do, bc he can't simply stand aside and watch the vultures peck at his Stiles. Oh, Stiles is an omega. What if he was a rare omega? The only way Derek wouldn't intervene is if he didn't have the same reasons to circle Stiles. He differs from others. He's a bodyguard. But he intervenes in the end. Why?

3. And then, of course, you get the feel of the story. Ah, this is a story about beautiful Stiles breaking Derek's control and everything he knew about himself (sort of, in the most simple sense).

Then I get boring and go look at the trusted three act plot structure. I know there are a lot of plot structures out there, but this is the most common one and simple to follow. (I'm dying to explore other plot structures tbh, they look intriguing)

Once at the structure, I usually go for the big guns and straight up start thinking about the climax of the story bc I love drama.

Characters need to break. Something about them needs to: their body, their mind, their worldview, their very core and morals and beliefs. The climax is what your story will be remembered for, the very nail-biting tension at the height of it and the inevitable drop into the abyss. Characters need to change, that's why we follow the stories of them.

Not gonna lie, I don't struggle with this part, I'm always there for the ultimate angst, so idk how to tell you to get there.

Example: Stiles' hesitant trust for Derek shatters when Derek sends him back to the Institute. He didn't expect it and it is the worst betrayal for him. Stiles breaks. Derek breaks as well, bc Stiles rejects him. It changes both of them: Derek becomes ruthless (he could've killed Deaton from the beginning, but something always stopped him until now); Stiles, after Derek comes back for him, lets the trust to flourish, and he becomes content. For the first time in his life, Stiles has someone he can trust to come back for him and keep their promises. Derek would never leave Stiles - and that's the resolution for both of them.

At this point, I really see what the story is truly about: trust and its fragility, the false safety of feeling like you have that trust when you have nothing but the shadow of it.

Now I know what everything has to be about. The theme (trust, in my case) should be like the sun that shines upon all of them and soaks into every corner of the story. Everything should lead you step by step to the resolution of the theme. You don't have to focus every single sentence on it, but it should be there, always. Like the sun. You don't notice it, but it's still there.

4. Then, you have to think about the backstory. You really have to think why are they doing what they do, where do they come from, what lead them to where they are now. The backstory starts waaaaay before the tale does, but you have to develop it (because some if not most traumas come from childhood/adolescence).

Example: why is it so important to Stiles that someone comes for him? (everyone left him before, his mother and father). Why does Derek want Stiles so bad? (Stiles needs him to survive, Stiles is not afraid of him, Stiles accepts him as he is)

5. Now that I have the beginning and the climax, I usually follow the three acts points (you can create more acts, just keep raising the stakes and the tension). How do they meet, what creates the spark between them, the attraction and the conflict, what makes them fall in love, where does that love lead to?

6. Not gonna lie, more often than not I don't know how to end things. I get to the climax and just sit there staring at the wall, like, now what? The answer for me is to go to the beginning and make the ending reflect it but in a new light: either sweet, or bitter, or anything in between. It puts a nice bow to your ending, ties all ends, closes all arcs and creates a nice contrast.

Maybe, there's a false climax (like, with Stiles sleepwalking out of his father’s house alone at night and Derek nearly tearing John to shreds bc of it (it's just another push to him keeping Stiles solely to himself in the end)). You get a little breather before shit really hits the fan (the tension keeps climbing; maybe not with the angst but instead with sex or a side plot drama).

About the stakes: your character needs to lose something to change. Because, otherwise, how else do you make the change worth anything at all? You decide what the loss is, something good or bad depending on the story; the loss of a loved one? an old misconception? a harmful habit? a good habit? entire world?? life??? You also get to decide whether the character does it willingly. The change becomes valuable only if it costs something.

Example: Stiles letting go of his Dad (his past and his pain, his burden). He lets Derek take it off his shoulders - and trusts him to carry it right.

Tip: you really should try to tie all ends (unless leaving them open is intentional), at least as much as you can, bc you as an author will probably forget that you haven't told it (bc in your head you know it all), but the reader doesn't know shit and will be like, "And what about A, B, and C? You haven't told us, ergo you're a lazy writer". For me, that's for the editing stage. You have to really think whether you actually told that one important thing or you just thought that everyone would get it out of the context.

Example: I always envisioned Derek with a beard in Yes To Heaven, but after I started editing, I noticed that the first mention of it is at, like, 50k word point or something. Jesus, Hedwig, not everyone can read your mind, explain things! Or how Laura doesn't know that Derek is their pack's Left Hand (had to go back and make Derek and Cora more secretive with his job).

7. Welp, that's kinda it.

There is a lot more that comes to making a story better with different ways of storytelling (I love Chekhov's gun and red herrings, personification and metaphors, to the point where it gets repetitive).

Believe me, I get the dread and the sudden emptiness of mind that overwhelms you when you stare at the empty document. You sit there and stare, and nothing comes out. But, the thing is, instead of focusing on the behemoth of the idea in your head that leans over you like storm clouds, look down and pick at small things.

Maybe create bullet points: the climax scene, the incidents that lead to it, small stuff. Once you write it down, you'll see the whole story better. And it really helps when you're stuck and you don't know what to write next. Look in your notes, at the structure (you can print it or draw it and just write above the points), and you’ll feel more grounded.

Suddenly, it's not this enormous thing, it's this little thing that leads to this other little scene and, oh, they're sucking each other’s dicks.

The grand Idea is your sun that's always there and shines upon you, but you don’t focus on it, you're just making your characters fry pancakes. It will all come together, just... small steps. Small steps that lead you to the top of the Everest. Don’t look at that top, focus on the steps in front of you, else you'll slip into the crater of a burnout.

MY EDGE OF SLEEP THOUGHTS

Usually I don't really do review posts, but I figured I should here since we need to get the word out more and I have things to s a y -

And yeah i know it technically already made it top 10...but it's going down again...sooo.....chop chop we gotta punch judge judy in the face again :]

SPOILER WARNING BELOW, OF COURSE, FOR BOTH THE TEOS SHOW A N D ORGINAL PODCAST, SO READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

Mainly this is gonna be talking about all the changes they made in the story and my thoughts on them, comparing the podcast to the show, but most of them are actually pretty positive! So, with that said, let's start with one of the biggest changes, that being:

The Maniac: So I know some people are kinda on the fence bout this, but me personally I don't mind that they cut out The Maniac! I get some people liked how their was a bit of a threat at the hospital while they were trying to figure things out, and Dave having the big risk of loosing his balls (tho i love the reference they did with the radio that was great XD), but...I kinda think that went against the point of this apocalypse, of it being a literal silent killer and not being like how the end of the world is seen in movies of chaos and violence, so having the Maniac out gave the group more time to process the situation at hand. That and how it allowed them to talk more and really show the character connections, like the talk Katie and Dave had after he recalled when he carved the triangle on his chest (more on that later)! And sides, least to me, I always kinda thought the Maniac was...a liiiitle tacked on? Like, with the story always kinda relating to Dave and his nightmares, having the Maniac just be some, well, crazy fucked up guy kinda felt outta place. Like maaaaybe they could've related him directly to being on the elephant's side (the sticker on his van doesn't count, that was just foreshadowing), like he was an elephant follower and he was following Dave even before shit went down, but with him just being some guy doing fucked up things, felt just like a tacked on extra threat. (Also I always kinda found it a little unlikely Dave was so easily able to go on and do a buncha other stuff after being literally shot, but eeeh is fiiine i guess-) With that said though, with the Maniac's absence, it does lead me tooooo

Ruth: I actually really liked Ruth's addition a lot! Was refreshing to see one other person in the survivor group, even if you know from the get-go she probably wasn't gonna make it, but that's good for the story! To show us another person's perspective whose out of the loop, how everyone else around her is struggling to keep it a secret, and how she took the place of the Maniac's for the MRI scan was much more impactful, having more weight to the situation since she was innocent and just found out when she sleeps, she dies, and seeing how hard of was on Linda to do, just mwuah amazing acting all around, but again more on that later-

The Dream People: Another change that I actually like, and even prefer! Tbh in the podcast I kinda felt like the whale people/dream warriors were...kinda vauge on what exactly they are? I know they were probably gonna explain that more in Season 2, but i feel like they didn't really...explain enough? Like they were just some higher people/power, nearing a deus-ex-machina, the old man and his son (forgot their names sorry) kinda broke up the story for me whenever we cut back to them (tho i do love the cigarette bit between him and Dave, sad that didn't make it into the show), and i was fine with that but eeeh coulda been handled a little better, and it was in the show! I like it a lot better that little Davey was always dreaming about them alongside the nightmares, since to Dave (and to the viewers seeing this story for the first time) he wasn't really sure on who or what to trust, which only adds more to the mystery of it all! I also like how their home base is more clear and giving slight cult vibes, but hopefully with good intentions (again we'll see in Season 2), so looking forward to learning more about them, even if this time I'm a bit more satisfied on how they're presented!

Mateo: HE LIVED!!! :DD I was actually really suprised that Mateo survived the plane crash! And I don't think i mind that too much, tho i kinda prefer the podcast ver a liiitle more since it added a bit more to the hopelessness of the situation that literally half of the party was dead, but eh more people living the better! Plus I do think Mateo was pretty fun in the show, I liked him and Dave's friendship a lot, especially with him being with Dave when shit went down at the party rather then going home to play video games pantsless, and i liked how we saw him stand up for Dave for being weird, true bros (i also really like the hug Dave gave him when he agreed to fly for them, that was really nice), so I'm sure there's more of him to explore with his veteran background and stuff, so can't wait to see more of him for Season 2! ....maybe then he won't be so lucky oh god- :'D

The Moobles: So probably, like others, the moment I heard that TEOS was gonna get a TV show, there was one scene on particular that I immediately thought of that I was excited to actually see, and that was the fucking Moobles scene- So was I disappointed that we didn't exactly get that scene? ...Yeah, a little bit, but I do understand why we didn't get it, and what we got instead still served the same purpose well! For one, I'd understand why that scene would be a lot for a +14 rated show, even if there is some pretty good gore throughout the series, bit i get multiple self-stabbings can kinda cross the line, but another reason is...I just don't think they had the budget for it. Like- How would they do the Moobles? CGI? Puppets? Either way I'd love to see it, but I knew it'd be pretty pricey, so I get why the Moobles had to be cut, wish they least had a small reference like the Maniac did (maybe the Moobles playing on TV somewhere or a display case showing the "toy" would be cool), but hey, if we can only experience that horrifying scene in podcast form, well, I wouldn't mind at all! Still fucking horrific in sound form and I love it :'D And sides, I actually prefer the new change for Dave's scar this time around! Tho I like the viciousness of having slash marks all over his chest, i think the single triangle scar fits much more with the stories and is great forshadowing of what's to come, giving a more concrete, direct link between what Dave has gone/going through and the killing sleep going on rather than just the warning the Whale gave him before shit went down! And the scene of him cutting in the injury was still pretty unsettling even if not downright horrific like Moobles-

The Clock: The clock was....n e w - I do like the visual of it tho, since at first it seemed like it stopped and ticked back each time a person fell asleep, but i do wonder...why is that? Is time literally going back each time a person dies? Or is it symbolic of just someone's time being up? If that's the case, then why does sometimes it ticks back a single tick, while others it goes back several? (Think an example of that was when Ruth was bout to die but i think i may be missremembering) I still like the addition tho, just wish it was a l i t t l e more clear, that's all :']

Katie: So even if there are some slight changes to her (like how she doesn't have the cast anymore, which i kinda get, they kinda really brushed over that after Dave talked to her about it once in the podcast, so i get why it was cut), I really liked where they went with her! Course may be a l i t t l e bias since we knew Lio as Lady, and for both roles they absolutely crushed it, but- It was great seeing more details about Katie! Like implying more and more that she had a drug problem in the past and using her rehab advice on Dave was very fitting, and though it was sad knowing she wasn't going to make it in the end, still loved all her scenes! Especially the incredibly tense scene where Dave has to run miles to get to her house to make sure she doesn't sleep, passing by empty streets and sleeping bodies, and Katie (reasonably) hitting Dave on the head when he broke into her house, ooohoho that was good- And i remembered at first i was slightly surprised that Katie died in the plane rather than locking herself in the car, and at first i thought "Oh it's just to make it more impactful, for Dave to fly with his ex's corpse right next to him, so close to safety, yeah that's screwed up :/" ....then the ending cliffhanger shots were shown and ohohOHOHOHO THE SHOT OF KATIE IN THE WATER STARING DOWN THE CAMERA WITH TRAINGLE EYES, IMPLYING SHE'S GONNA BE A H U G E THREAT IN SEASON 2, OHOHO LOVE THAT SHIT-

The Dream Chamber: A new addition/change that I don't mind tooooo much, but i am a little confused on. In the podcast, little Dave's treatment was to be isolated away from society for 18 months with just him and his mom, nothing else as to not be used against him in his nightmares. And while here i can understand a little why they cut that (i mean each ep is only 20 mins so chop chop), the Dream Chamber scene was pretty interesting! The doctor was weird but i think that was the point (never trust a man with a bowl cut wig) since i remember there was one shot where there was an elephant ceremic (i think) in his office, and when talking about the chamber he had these strange flashes, one including a whale dying in a graveyard, so i think that's implying he's on the elephant's side and was only going to harm Dave more, thus why the Dream People made little Davey stab him in the neck (which i was s h o c k e d on when i saw, btw), but my problem is...we kinda never really go back to Dave's past after that? In the podcast, it was proven that the therapy worked for Dave so he could live out his life as a normal person until the Moobles happened, but here...we don't really know what happens after? Did the doctor die when he got stabbed? I don't think so since there'd have to be some legal trouble braught up because of that, and nobody mentions the doctor dying after that, sides it was just like...a kid stabbing him, so yeah it'd be pretty painful but maaaybe not that deadly. Did Dave get better after that? Probably not, probably is just prescribed more pills once he was old enough, but...in both podcast and in show it's braught up the concern that if he doesn't get the nightmare fixed soon when he was young, it'd lead to huge developmental issues, but Dave seems...mostly normal when older, nightmares and triangle carving aside. He still has a social life, albeit a small one, got a girlfriend, and even a job, so...did the treatment work? The Elephant: For me personally, i think the elephant monster face is kinda hit or miss under the right circumstances, like the first scene with the nightmare about Dave's mom turning into one, that one was real spooky and the flashing lights actually aided to it in my opinion, but...when it's just in broad daylight and on any person....yeaaah i can kiiiinda tell it's just a mask, hell i think it is the same one being re-used, but eh i think it's fine, just kinda wish they got a bit more creative with the elephant imagery to make it more eldritch and stuff like with the Whale, like that one shot of the Elephant being barely seen on the static on the TV at the party, that was cool, but it's fiiiine it served it's purpose well enough-

Baby Dave: Okay not too much of a tangent on the actual show, just something i thought up on, but...fellas. Markiplier community. More specifically, MCU community. We have an irl face for baby Dave. Ergo, we have a face for baby Mark. Ergo....we have a face for baby Actor, Damien, and William...I am expecting fanart soon and quick 🔫👁

Linda: I really loved Linda in the show! Eve did an amazing job getting across how intense and high strung Linda was, probably even better since we can see how stressed she is! Seeing her actual break down over Brit's death was great, to show she still is deeply disturbed and broken about the whole situation, and i think that was especially needed when she did the MRI on Ruth since in that scene she is crying, but with the knowledge she experienced the same thing with Brit, you can tell this isn't easy for her, but she is willing to do anything to figure out what is going on so the small group of people she barely knows can live. Also, MORE LINDA LORE OOOOO- Was not expecting that, for her to work in a secret government project before, but think it fits well! Explains why she's a little intense and weird, plus let's the audience know this truly can't be some government weapon since she knows of all the gov weapons in the works, so that was really cool to learn of her!

OST: MARKUS E. PLIER. AMAZON. QRCODE. S O M E O N E. YOU BETTER DROP THAT OST SOON CAUSE I W A N T - But for real i l o v e d the soundtrack throughout the series, it all fit the vibes perfectly, keeping things tense at tense scenes and heartfelt at heartfelt scenes, and those beats just mhmhmh- Also i adore the intro, soft, old music being used in a creepy morbid context with visual seeming out of place but once you watch the whole series it makes sense ohohoho gimmie that shit anyday- Speaking of...

Visuals: Touched upon this a bit earlier with the Elephant and the gore, but i liked the visuals a lot! Course i knew it wasn't gonna be movie level stuff or anything (some shots of the Whale are a b i t imposed at time but it's fine), but i feel like they knew what they were able to do, and did it to the best of their ability, and they did! I do love the gore, even if a little small, the brain cutting scene was amazing, very spooky, the funeral hallucination at the end was crazy with everyone bleeding out of their eyes and ears looked real good and intense, and the final shots with all the bodies waking up with triangles in their eyes oohohoohohohooo i loved that shit so damn much i am so hype for more p l e a s e -

And, finally, last but certainly not least, Dave: As to a suprise to nobody, least to those already in the Markiplier Fandom, Mark's acting was on fucking point. In every scene he was in, whatever he needed to sell, he sold it perfectly. Whether that be in distressed and concerned, confused and scared, angry and in dispair, he did it all perfectly, I fucking loved it. Like fuck- The scene where Katie dies, the desperation in his voice as he pleads for Linda to give her more adrenline, as if that'd fix it, having to be pulled back in his anguish, f u c k - And the scene before when he carves the triangle into his chest, waking up just in time to give an almost dazed, dead look to Katie as he asks sluggishly "what's wrong?", adding to the horror of his self mutilation. GOOD SHIT GOOD SHIT- My only "complaint" i guess is that i wished he had a few more lines/scenes with dialog, but maybe that's just wishful thinking since i'm so used to him talking on and on and on and on both in the podcast and just in the channel in general, but even then i couldn't be happier with his performance!!

Infact, everyone did fucking incredible! If you're reading this and you still haven't watched TEOS yet...what the hell are you doing go watch we gotta beat the crap outta Judge Judy BUT also go watch for the incredible acting, special effects, soundtrack, story, just EVERYTHING that is Edge of Sleep! It is definitely worth your time, it's only 2 hours so it's super easy to binge, and tho i am a little pissed like everyone else that Amazon/QRCode/Hollywood execs are tryna bury this thing so Mark/other well deserved YouTubers can't have their work be put more out there, well...we're showing them now, aren't we? >:]

The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw

This is actually a horror book and only counts as a romance to me cause my brain is a bit snapped but it is romantic ok it IS what if I was a man eating mermaid and you were a gender unspecified plague doctor and we made a connection despite our mutual inhumanity. It’s also very short

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab

Ok the main relationships in this are f/m but the main characters are bi/queer (there’s a lesbian artist side character named Sam :]!)and there are quite a few lovely wlw scenes that I quite liked. Otherwise I just really liked this book I know some people found it slow but I thought the pacing was very well done and the twists felt well earned. Bittersweet, but (spoilers) had an ending that had me going “good for her >:)”

What Moves the Dead by T Kingfisher

This one’s not romantic and it’s also horror it’s just a reimagining of Poe’s Fall of the House of Usher with a non-binary protag and it’s sooo entertaining. Alex is such a funny pov character for this story.

And now it’s time to rank the TJ Klune books that I’ve read so far (all of Klune’s books are mlm romance fantasy books though I guess itlop is more sci fi) (I liked all of them but here’s my preference in order of least to most enjoyed)

3. In the Lives of Puppets

Reverse retelling of Pinocchio (android man raises a human son in a world of robots) I thought the ace rep was maybe a little heavy handed at times (I’m ace I think the author was doing his best but could’ve dialed it back to feel more natural) and some of the humor wasn’t to my taste but the relationships were sweet and as always I love Klune’s worldbuilding. When the terrible dogfish showed up I said OHHHH out loud cause I hadn’t put the premise together yet despite everything else making it so obvious.

2. The House in the Cerulean Sea

This is everyone’s favorite but I’m gonna be honest. I just thought it was really good. I thought the conflict was a little on the nose/id seen it before so it didn’t really grab me but the setting and characters SHINE. It’s so visual I love Klune’s descriptions (right off the bat even in the boring office setting I was thinking “this should be a laika movie”)

1. Under the Whispering Door

This one is my favorite. Am I predictable. Yes. Am I taking criticism ABSOLUTELY not I loved this book. I love when an asshole learns to grow as a person I love how human this understanding of death and the after life is I love how even though the book tells you the twist on the back cover it still managed to sneak up on me and tear my heart out. Good book.

Sooo, I saw the Barbie movie yesterday. Thoughts (and spoilers) below:

• Honestly? It was better than I thought it would be.

• This film was an absolute trainwreck. But in a good way???

• It violently swings between being fun, goofy, playful, and being almost too real for comfort. And every time it gets too real, we try to repress it. Barbie tries to repress it. Gloria tries to escape just a little. When the world gets too much for us, we escape via make belief. We play with barbies. But Barbie does not belittle that escapism, but instead positions it as a real source of inspiration and change.

• So yes, this film was scarily relatable at times. Not even just in Gloria's monologue. But also when Barbie says she is afraid in the real world, or when she says she is not good at anything. Those things hit hard.

• On the brighter side, this film was also delightfully gay. Not explicitly, but implicitly in so many moments. Romance between Barbie and Ken does not happen. In fact, no straight romance really happens. AT ALL. The Kens hold hands and find each other very cool. Barbie and Gloria are in love at first sight and become an annoyingly cute couple which their teenage daughter could barf at (not much interpretation is needed for this take, believe me). There is a tender make-up scene. Their song is "closer to fine" by the Indigo Girls.

• Ken takes over Barbieland because he was friendzoned. Yes, there are other reasons too, but I feel like the 'man who is friendzoned and does NOT handle it well' really touched on something.

• The film also makes a point that matriarchy, too, is unfair. Barbie was not so much better than Ken when the barbies were in charge, and that argument too needs to be heard.

• Nevertheless, President Barbie is everything, especially when she gets censored by Mattel.

• Kate McKinnon as weird Barbie was also everything. Like. The movie is queer to me just for having Kate McKinnon in it. But for so many other reasons, too.

• I loved Helen Mirren as narrator. She is just one of those women we can all look up to.

Propaganda Under the Cut:

Sayaka:

It's a clever play on the story where, rather than the littlest becoming human for love and a soul, instead she becomes a mermaid after loosing both, even gaining the bittersweet ending of having a chance at heaven but she still needs to do good after death

i was surprised to learn that sayaka's story is based on the little mermaid, but it makes more sense the more i think about it. such a heartbreaking, tragic tale that i get emotional ocer every time.

A lot of Madoka Magica fans believe she is based off of the original Little Mermaid story cuz, just like the original Little Mermaid, Sayaka loved a boy and said boy did not reciprocate. SPOILERS, she makes a contract with Kyubey to become a magical girl and in return her wish was to help Kyosuke (the guy she likes) who was disabled. Later on when she becomes a witch cuz she felt she wasn't good enough for Kyosuke and doesn't tell him about her feelings, her witch form is a mermaid. I suck at explaining but I hope my propaganda helps 🙏

(Major spoilers for madoka magical)Okay so I will admit her allusion to the little mermaid ain't super obvious, but let me explain, she is based on the original story for the little mermaid, she makes a wish for the sake of a boy she loves basically sacrificing her soul, well he ends up in love with another girl, and as a result she ends up going on a downward spiral and transforms into a monster known as a witch, her witch form is a mermaid.

Even though she's not a mermaid outside her witch form, her story is made to be a direct parallel to the self-sacrificial nature of the little mermaid, even letting herself die. This isn't the end tho because in one of the happier endings of the little mermaid she still becomes sea foam/dies but she also has a chance at becoming a sea spirit and helps others, this is very similar to Sayaka's final fate in the anime where after Madoka rewrites the universe Sayaka still gets corrupted/dies but instead of becoming a witch, she becomes apart of the law of cycles and helps Madoka save other magical girls. There are way to many similarities to her story and the little mermaid for it to just be coincidence imo.

Poor girl is stuck in a craptastic world where horrible monsters kill you, the only way to fight back is to become a zombie child soldier killing what remains of your own kind for survival, the wish you made will inevitably blow up in your face because the person granting it is a jackass, and the writer is hellbent on shitting on the girl power ethos of the magical girl genre by making it so that girls suffer and die for trying to achieve reasonable desires like "not starving to death" and attaining agency in their lives dooms you even harder because of womanly emotions. She needs a win. Also, she is explicitly paralleled with The Little Mermaid--she is a tragic figure who makes a deal to help the boy she loves in exchange for putting her life on a ticking clock, only to be passed up in favor of another girl. As a result, she dies and becomes something else--in this case, Oktavia von Seckendorff, "the mermaid witch."

Ponyo:

As a child i did not even realize this was a little merm adaptation, but it really reads. She is sooo strange and other worldly and the movie absolutely captures that dreamlike fairy tale vibe

Ponyo a roughly five-year-old magical goldfish who can transform into a frog-type thing and a human girl. She's the eldest daughter of the literal goddess of the sea and a former human sailor given immortality. She falls in love with the five-year-old boy who cares for her and is thrilled to explore his ordinary yet magical world. She's bouncy, exuberant, and joyful. She loves ham. She doesn't have to give up her voice.

Guess who's still crying about Beast? Me! I watched the movie and read the beggining and end of the light novel because I got lazy. Not expecting the end in the movie though. Spoiler drawing ahead and comments btw

Made me so sad. I was going to rant in another post, but I might as well do it here.

So, number one, the sugar cube scene was so adorable I literally cried. I mean it. Like I LITERALLY sobbed.

Number 2, Oda WHYYYYYYYY?! I'M LITERALLY CRYING WHILE TYPING WRITE NOW THINKING ABOUT IT. YOU ARE FRIENDS, YOU ARE, PLEASEEEE. DAZAI'S FACE WHEN HE PULLED THE GUN OUT IN THE BAR AND TOLD HIM NOT TO CALL HIM ODASAKU WAS LIKE A SLAP TO THE FACE.

Number 3, When at the end of the movie, Fyoder was being a little rat and messed everything up, I wanted to vomit out of an array of emotions. I was confused, sad, angry, and just so dang overwhelmed. Like I was ugly crying five seconds ago cuz of Dazai and then this SEWER RAT came and made me confused. I'll get into him in anothe post.

Number 4, In the movie, when Dazai stabbed his leg to show Chuuya his commitment and how much he deserves his trust didn't make sense when I saw it, however, after I recently read the book and watched the play Julius Ceaser, I was like OOOOOOOOH. Dazai immitating Portia and Chuuya Brutus made me just sooo....wow.

Number 5, When it turned out that MORI was the new director I just- absolutley NOT. Do NOT put a pedophile in his perfect Utopia, Dazai WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! Also, I thought he killed him the whole time. Just think about it. A pedophile in an orphanage. You know how if you're being sexually assulted or something, you're supposed to tell a trusted adult like a parentor a teacher? THESE KIDS HAVE NO PARENTS.

Number 6, Chuuya being locked up in that poor governemnt facility broke my heart. Just think about how many people are going to die? Like there is no way Chuuya Nakahara is going to succumb to a bunch of itsy bitsy chains. He' breaking out and killing everyone in there and then the agency. Convince me otherwise.

Number 7, I can't. I'll make an entirely seperate post for Chuuya too, but can we just talk for a second? He went crazy because Dazai committed suicide. He went on a whole rampage and it took 3 special ability resistance units to take him down. This is what happens when there is no Dazai when he uses corruption. But the REASON he went into corruption was just...wow. I always knew they had a complicated relationship but at the same time it was just so simple. Like, they hate eachother, but they also don't. They don't like eachother, but it's not like they don't either. It's not like they complete one another, but it's like one soul in two bodies. They're so simply complicated that if you asked me what their relation was, I'd just say, they're complications. Because in reality, their relationship is just so unexplainable. You need to see it to understand it. There are lovers, enemys, frenemies, friends, siblings, etc, but they fit into literally no category but they aren't strangers either. This is getting too long, so I'll make a different post about that.

Number 8, Chuuya pleaseeee don'ttttt. There is no need to attack the agency, my guy. He wants to avenge Dazai's death, but what is there to avenge? Dazai did suicide. He wasn't killed. Chuuya was so upset that he wanted to kill all the agency. I just....can't. It's kind of sad. This is also going to be really long if I go on, so I'll make another post about this topic.

Number 9, the way Chuuya just really couldn't understand made me wanna bang my head on the wall in tears. He truly couldn't think of why Dazai did it. He was kind of alright one second and then dead the next. The entire time, you can tell how little Chuuya was incorporated into the script he wrote. The ending for each one was different as the movie had him go insane and be put under governemnt care, while the light novel just left him to do his own thing. However, in both you can see that neither of them ever knew what was going on. Dazai never gave him a reason to why he killed himself. Everyone else seems to be going on like nothing happened or at least as if they know what happened and came to terms with it, but then he knows nothing. He was his bodyguard and right hand man and yet NOTHING. I'll get back to this in another post lol. TvT
